 membership:

Once you’ve completed our pre-membership training course, and feel ready to commit to membership of at least 6 months, you’ll be ready to meet with our manager/owner. Together you will go over details like signing up for studio time, setting up your personal shelf, choosing a studio chore, and discussing which payment level makes sense for you. Monthly membership payments are due on or before the first of each month. Members can take work home to complete, (using your own tools, materials, equipment) or do all their clay work in the studio. You may bring guests($15/hr for up to 3 hrs) just make sure you add "+ guest" when you sign up on the calendar.

We offer three options:

  1. BASIC: $165/ month

  2. Reduced:$100/month (this option is only available for NW Philly locals who experience marginalization and/or generational financial lack)

  3. Supporter: $170+ (pay anything above the Basic level to help support our neighborhood outreach program)

Payment options: Venmo, Cash App, cash, check

INDEPENDENT STUDIO TIME:

Independent studio time is as short or as long as you like (just make sure you allow 1/2 hour at the end for thorough clean up). Think of it as time for you to dig deep. Practice, practice, practice. Sign up on the studio calendar ahead of time, and come on in. A few times a week the studio is reserved for group events (classes or workshops) so avoid overlapping with those so it doesn't get overcrowded.

Members may choose to do some work at home, some at the studio, but no studio tools, equipment or materials can be taken home (you’ll have to purchase your own underglazes, glazes, tools, containers, etc. for your at-home work.)

We have reconstituted clay, towels, tools, 6 wheels, 2 slab rollers, over 30 glazes, numerous underglazes, slips, & oxide washes all for you to use while in the studio. If you want new clay right out of the box, we sell brown, white or tan stoneware for $25/bag.
